I’m saying goodbye to my employer of the last (almost) six years. Actually, I’m firing Smith & Loveless Inc. I’ve unofficially and officially quit 5 times over the years (actually left for 5 weeks once) but I’m making good on this one! It’s been a wild, stressful, time-sucking, emotional/mental, morally and ethically challenging and great technical and leadership learning experience. It was the best and worst of times. I will miss the people and some of the work. I won’t miss the poor leadership, vision and lack of mission. My last day was December 17.
I have already started with Swagelok Kansas City and already been taken aback by the night and day difference in how this organization approaches leadership, it’s mission and what it values. More to come on this subject I’m sure!
