D and I took a trip to Northwest Arkansas this spring. Whoa heat!
All said it was a great time. We scoped out Bentonville, all things Wal-Mart (reluctantly but we recognize it’s influence on the area and world), stayed in a VRBO house in the woods on a hill, hiked, visited museums, explored caverns and an old mill, visited Eureka Springs, walked thru a glass chapel, saw giant carp at Beaver Lake, antiqued like Jenny Mars, saw Jenny Mars, and found a ‘hole in the wall’ bakery that made THE BEST ARTISAN COFFEE (which came quart size only).
I maintain. We vacation embarrassly well.
Only one bad happened. We brought the dogs figuring they would enjoy the trip and the house was accommodating (really worked well) but Dutch didn’t appreciate the hills and curves and developed severe traveling anxiety. To be fair, I was also nearly dizzy a couple times.
