Day 1 was a travel day from KC to Limon, CO. We try and make the best of western Kansas and eastern Colorado so we thought we’d start our tourism at the Little Jerusalem Badlands State Park. We did eventually make it to the Colorado border and eventually Limon and ended the day with ice cream at the local ice cream parlor. Ryan learned sunflowers also grow in Colorado and the Super 8 in Limon leaves much to be desired, including AC.

Harvesting Jost Wheats
I went to help my uncle Doyle and Grandpa Jost harvest their wheat again this year. As always there was family, plenty of food and the occasional breakdown or grain spill. If you look closely you may notice my uncle Vaughn making a few “adjustments” as clandestinely as possible.
New color, New numbers
I finally finished a two weeks’ long project to put our house numbers back up! For those that didn’t know we made a significant color change. Slate blue (ish) body with white trim, black fixtures (farmhouse black to be precise) and now…a touch of cedar for the number box.
On to the next.
