A Little About Us

Welcome to our blog! We are Ryan and Danelle. We call Olathe, KS in the Kansas City area home. And we have two spoiled French Bulldogs (Zorro and Dutch) – a bit more about them here.

We met back in 2005-06 during our freshman year at Hesston College in Hesston, KS. We spent two years there and although shared classes and similar friends, never considered dating during that time. Danelle completed her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration-Management at Tabor College in Hillsboro, KS and Ryan completed his Bachelor of Science in Mechaical Engineering Technology at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS. We both started adulting as singles following college, Ryan in the Kansas City area, and Danelle in Wichita, KS.

It was August 2015 (yes, about 8 years after we last spent any time together), when Ryan reached out to Danelle asking to meet up for coffee while traveling through Wichita. That evening of coffee was a new beginning for two very independent people. Since we lived in cities about 2 hours apart, it was Danelle who needed to know if this was going to move forward (Ryan was a bit more casual) so with some poking and prodding the relationship matured. By December we were already having conversations of marriage and had spent time with each other’s families for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. We were engaged in April 2016 and married October 1, 2016.

We are both God-fearing and Jesus-loving humans who enjoy the journey that is life. This little blog is intended as a way of documenting the events of our little family. Enjoy!
